  Exporting Footage to Watch on TV (TODAY!!!)

  I could really use some help. I have some footage filmed in 1080p 60fps from a Canon XA20. I have a timeline ready to export in Premiere Pro CC, but I don’t have a clue what type of file I need to export. I simply need to be able to play the file to a TV this evening and I plan on using my computer to do so.

  What is the best recommendation at this point? I get lost with all of the different file types, containers and so on.

  As a test, try the Vimeo 1080 preset. You will probably have to change the frame rate to match your original.

  I’ll give it a try if that is the best way to go. Can you teach me and tell me why you’re leaning this way? There are so many options and I just get confused.

  I’m playing the file straight from my computer because I don’t have a Blu-ray burner and I assume I can’t export the file to a DVD disc. The timeline is 45 minutes and I don’t know what data rate a DVD disc can handle in regard to HD footage. Is it possible let to export it to a DVD? I resorted to a computer because I figure that is my only option. Again, I can use some help.

  I’d love some thoughts. I need to have the file ready to go within the next few hours or so. The footage is from a vacation and the group that went is getting together tonight.
