  Removing Audio Hiss In Premiere

  Hi all,

  Thanks for taking the time to read.

  I recently shot a short interview with a Canon t5i, and there is noticeable audio hiss. Removed with Premiere’s DeNoiser, but the hiss returns when I add transitions to cuts. I’ve tried fiddling with the transitions and DeNoiser levels to mitigate, but have been unsuccessful.

  Hoping someone reading has experienced this as well, and can provide a solution or point one.

  Paolo,

  Assuming you have Audition, send the edit (or the clip’s audio) to Audition and have it remove the offending noise. There are a few tutorials on this, but here’s a couple to look at that may put you on the right path.

  Thanks for your response Dennis. Turns out I do not have audition though. Do you have any other ideas?

  Download the trial and use it for free for 30 days. That’s the easiest solution.

  The hiss was originally so bad, I considered not using the video.
