In PP CC and 2014 I’m digitizing from an HDCAM SR tape, SDI into a Blackmagic UltraStudio 4K and then into PP capturing 8 channels of audio. Capturing to ProRes (HQ) 23.98. Everything starts capturing fine but at a random time, usually around 5 minutes or so the audio just stops recording, the capture continues the video is fine and their are audio tracks but it’s as if the audio just got turned off. I’ve tried several times on both CC and 2014 and have the same problem. I’ve used the 9.9.3 Blackmagic driver as well as 10.1.2. iMac i7, 16MB RAM, Mac OS 10.8.5. Avid MC captures it fine. I haven’t tried capturing the same thing on another computer.

What happens if you select Mjpeg instead of Pro Res? What codec do you capture with MC?

We only have decks in the office when we need them and so I don’t get time to test much. Haven’t tried the Mjpeg option. In MC I usually capture to 175x.
