Premiere, After Effects, and Cinema 4D workflow
This will be my first project that I use live footage with a mixture of 3D assets and motion graphics, and I’m looking to figure out what’s the best workflow that will allow for client requests and easy edits.
So far I’ve got the live action footage captured and trimmed down (best takes, audio, VO sync, etc). In between live action clips I’m pulling in a C4D scene of an iPhone, and in After Effects animating the iPhone screen graphics to the VO. I could import the entire Premiere project into Ae, which would give me the video clips with color grading, but I’m afraid if I do that, the client will want to change the video clips in some way and then I have to edit them in Ae, because there’s no dynamic link.
How would you approach this task? I’m not afraid of editing and finishing in Ae, but I’m just trying to learn the best approach. BTW, I’m on CC2014.
