  Premier Pro CS6 and Motion 4 templates

  Hi

  I am trying to add a template I created in Motion 4 to Premier Pro CS6. It has logos, text and drop zones I created.

  Although it goes into CS6, it’s not right as it’s 1440 x 1080 and my CS6 project is AVCHD 1920 x 1080.

  I can’t seem to figure out how to make it work – I even tried nesting the Motion file (even a mov file from the template) into a new sequence with the CS6 project open….it still retains the 1440 dimension. I tried to right click on the file in the timeline and make it match sequence (frame size I think from memory) – no luck.

  I also tried in Motion 4 to find a button to change the setting from 1440 to 1920 – no luck at finding a button.

  This is a template I’ll always need to use as I need the logo, text and drop zones I created (it works like the other Motion templates with drop zones).

  1440 is really 1920 with non square pixels.

  select the mov in the project panel.

  right click and choose interpret footage.

  in the pop up choose HD Anamorphic 1.33

  1440 x 1.33 = 1920 🙂

  But when I did what you suggest, I noticed it was already on 1:33 etc as you suggest, and changing the settings to something else didn’t work.

  However, I played around and found a solution. I went back to Motion4 and changed the sequence setting from what it was (XDCAM HD) to XD CAM EX (I often use a Sony EX3 Camera) with properties of 1920 x 1080. I had to then change the size of everything in the project…but in the end it all worked when I imported it to Premier Pro CS6.
