  Premiere to scratch assimilate and back to premiere

  Hi everybody!
  I’m new to this site and new to filmmaking, and would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.
  This is what I’ve done so far;
  – I’ve shot my film in 4K (with red epic), and edited the film in raw in premiere. Then I took the raw files and did grading in scratch assimilate.

  Now I want to bring the graded files back to premiere before I do the final export (a guy is making a dcp for me). I could export the raw graded files from scratch and bring them back to premiere, but everyone keeps warning me of this as it would lead to a ‘double export’, and I would lose quality in the process.

  Is it possible to bring back the graded rawfiles to premiere (and premiere have them relinked to the editing), without exporting from scratch? I guess I’m sort of wondering if the grading is saved directly to the raw-files, so I can avoid exporting them from scratch?

  I’m sorry for any typos, english is not my first language.

  Hoping this is not a stupid question, and that someone can help me out 🙂

  I’ve graded the Raw files, so I’ve graded without the cuts and edits. I don’t want to (and don’t have time to) do the editing all over again…

  Why didn’t you online your edit in Scratch? Then you could do your final export from there.
