  Choosing a Single Audio Track for Multicam Use

  Hello all, I am attempting to teach myself Premiere after being brought up in MC6-7. I shot a series of short interviews for a friend at an event using 2 cameras, a 650D and an XF105. I’m attempting to merge the 2 camera angles of each interview into multicam clips and then be able to cut back and forth between shots. The problem I’m having is that 1 of the audio sources was particularly bad and I’d rather not use it. When nesting the two sequences together, I grabbed only the video from the camera with the bad audio and now, when cutting from angle to angle in the clip, whenever I cut to the camera angle the had the bad audio, there is no audio. I assumed when splicing the 2 that the audio from the good cam would would become the primary and I’d be able to work from there. Any help would be appreciated.

  My work around, which may be incorrect, is that after I have set up the multicam time line, I go back and copy the audio I want to use and paste it into the multicam line. Then I lock it up and roll. It will add a new soundtrack as you edit. You can choose not to use it by shutting it off when you completed the edit.

  I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5.5 on a IMAC 27, Intel core i5 2.7 GHz, 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3… MAC OSX 10.6.8 I have a 2 2 Terabyte external drives also.
