Is it better to shoot in DV Cam or beta for keying with keylight in AE? Are there any particular reasons for choosing one over the other?

    thanks

I had this same question about a month ago and decided to shoot on Beta SP. But just as a test, I ran a second DV camera on the shoot so that I could compare keys in post. The Beta SP footage (Using a Decklink Card) keys beautifully, the DV is really difficult to get a decent key.
I also can not stress the importantce of even and good lighting. Don’t try any cool lighting FX on your subject when you intend to key the footage. Most visual and lighting FX can be accomplished in post anyhow. Just get the subject and keywall lit well.
