    Hi everyone!

Well, I have an scene composed by a building photo, and a cloudy sky sequence that pass ove the building. I need to make a realistic refraction of the sky, on the building windows. I have selected separately the windows and the rest of the building, and I’m trying to add a new sky sequence over the windows layer, and turn it into multiply fusion mode….but as it’s normal, the sky moves….and it’s really dificult to compound the sky over the windows using a 3D layer, and make the movement match with the real sky.
It’s dificult to explain, and I don’t know if I can post any image….

    Thanx to all
    Marc.

Mmh, you should try the Corner Pin effect. This is much easier to control than aligning a 3D layer. You should also use two instances of your sky: one in Overlay mode to give an overall blueish tint, and one in Screen or Add mode with lowered opacity to accentuate the clouds or other highlights. I’d only use Multiply in a dark city environment with no sun reflecting in the windows.

Can you dup (Ctrl D) the sky layer then use Distort>Corner Pin to put it where you want? You can even flip/reverse the image by moving the pins. Also drop the Transparency (to 20-30% ?)on the Reflected sky layer so you can see the windows underneath. By dupping the layer, the movement of the clouds are identical.

Does this do what you want?

I once had to do something very similar to what the OP is descibing. In addition to corner pin, I keyed out the blue in the “reflected” sky layer, then set it to screen mode. The result was very nice.
