    Dear all,

I’m using Premiere CS5.0 and I’m working on a project with both 25fps and 50fps footage. The sequence setting is HDV 1920×1080 25fps progressive.

Providing that I’m happy to work with the 50fps in a 25fps environment,
I am experiencing the following issues:

    – if I don’t “interpret” the frame down to 25fps, it would play at a crazy speed in the preview screen and would go on loop on certain points

    – once “interpreted” they still need to be rendered, as the quality on the preview screen would still be poor (flickering…)

After “interpreting” and “rendering”, in theory it would be easy to work with the footage.
The problem is that these footages are always linked to the rendering, so if anything happens in that respect (for example re-linking the media files at the opening of a project – which happens every now and then)I would have to re-render everything, and at that point I will have all my croppings and edited footage ****ed up…

It happened last night and I’m unable to find a solution.

I hope I have explained myself, and I am looking to find a comfortable way to work with these 50fps without being worried they will screw up my work for one reason or the other.

    Please advise, I’m on a short deadline…

    Thank you!!!!

    Alessio
