I’m filming police dogs next week using three different cameras.
    Canon T2i
    Canon HF S30
    GoPro Hero 3

Using a resolution of 1920×1080, the GoPro will only shoot @ 30fps.

    At 1920×1080, the T2i can shoot 30fps.

At 1920×1080, the Canon HFS30 only has PF30 or 60i. Additionally, the HFS30 cannot shoot at a lower res than 1920×1080 (instead, it can convert clips down to a lower res. I’ve never tried it – nor do I want to).

So…. in the opinion of the forum. to best edit these different clips in PP (cs6) should I set the HFS30 to 60i?

[tom edwards] “Using a resolution of 1920×1080, the GoPro will only shoot @ 30fps.”

    No. The Hero 3 will shoot 24fps, 30fps and 60fps at 1080p.

    And 24 as well.

    That, is true.

1080p30 is what i’d use. Interlacing…ick. And shoot PF30 on that HFS30 camera.

Agree. It’s “cleaner” to remove 4 progressive frames than to deinterlace.
