Can you sync multi-camera videos after editing sequence?
Hello everyone. I’ve searched on Google. Maybe I’m not using the right keywords, but I’m not finding anything that even answers this question with a simple “yes” or “no.” If it is possible, we also would like to know how, please and thank you.
We were sent a file. They used multiple camera shots and put them together in a multi-cam source sequence. Then they put it on the sequence and edited it. They sent this to us, but the camera shots are out of sync in the mult-cam sequence.
I’ve tried creating a new multi-cam source sequence as a test to see if it could overwrite the multi-cam source sequence and still keep the edits/cuts, but it didn’t work. It did overwrite, but without the edits.
Is it possible to do something like this? To sync the cameras, or to put a new multi-cam source in the sequence (the main sequence) and still keep all the edits, including the cuts/snips, on the old video/sequence? Or would we have to start from scratch?

Since the multicam sources are just sources in a sequence timeline…
if you slip and slide the sources in the source timeline….the changes will ripple on the destination timeline….
I’d HIGHLY recommend doing this in a copy of the project file…so you can go back to the start point if you have to….
