Brilliant, as always! Let me just take the time to say that your tutorials are really proving to be invaluable, Aharon, and not just in terms of the technical delivery, but also encouraging me to try new things in AE and remove the glass ceiling.

On a slight, OT, what app/codec do you use to capture your tutorials? I’ve always noticed the small file size and sharpness, and have always been curious.

Again, really good work! I look forward to the tutorials every week, and hope to start submitting some of my own one day.

Sorry, Justin. All I got was a ‘respond to this post’ page. Did someone already ask Aharon this question?

He somehow added an extra number to the link address and so it didn’t work. I just removed the extra digit and it works now if you wish to retry the link.

    Best regards,

Actually, the quality is due to Sorenson Squeeze which I use to compress the final video cleanly. If you need to put video on the web and don’t want to lose quality, this program is invaluable.

Forgive me Aharon, I am a bit of a newbie with after effects. Hence i am at the very first Creative Cow tutorial as listed by adobe media player. As you say at the begining of the tutorial our two bird layers you hve created with Illustrator and being a creative person myself I decided I would create my own bird layers to animate. This does not at irst seem to be a great challenge. After all; two layers, very simple design. 8 hours later I find I have still not completed the task. I have saved, exported, checked in, imported with after effects, opened with bridge and done petty much everything I can think of to export these two simple layers to after effects so I can begin following your tutorial. I have downloaded your tutorial files and even used the AI file in there to see if my project was set up incorrectly. I have now plummeted into complete dispair at not even being able to start the first tutorial. How did you get to the project start?
