I’m considering getting a new computer. I’ll only be putting CS 6 on it (actually, I could cut it down do just Premiere, Photoshop, AE and Encore).

What would be the minimum size SSD drive to effectively run Windows (preferably Win 7 rather than 8) and CS 6?

120GB is feasible but might become a constraint over time. I recommend 180GB as a minimum; preferably 240/256GB formatted with 20-25% spare area, or a second SSD for cache files. Presumably there will be another drive for media files.

I have 120 gig ssd with CS6 and CC and still 30 gig left.
Make sure all your temp files go to another drive.

I have CS6 Master and W7-64, (I boot off SCSI, not SSD, but encountered same issuses as you did and have it down to ~120Gb used out of 146Gb), but I hear SSD’s want 20% free space, so I’d say minimum is 256Gb
