  trim edit window keeps closing when I press spacebar to play

  Not sure if anyone else has run into this problem. But in Premiere Pro CC, whenever I open the trim window with “T”, as soon as I hit play, the trim window closes and I’m back to the Program Monitor window.

  I’m essentially unable to play anything in the Trim edit window because I soon as I do, the window closes.
  Has anyone else run into this problem in Premiere Pro CC and is there a solution???
  I googled and can’t find this issue discussed anywhere.
  It’s driving me crazy because I can’t perform any edits in the trim window.
