I’ve got a two-angle interview shot on a fs700 and a 5D. naturally the 5D had to stop every 12 minutes so Ideally I’d like to get a multicam that can treat the broken up takes of the 5D as an angle with gaps. The default functionality in Premiere is making each of the takes as a new angle.

I’ve managed this in the past in FCPX and have pluraleyes 3 which can sync it up but I’ve always had trouble with the XML that pluraleyes gives you and I don’t really want to start the projects in FCPX.

Anyone know how to do this?

    Luke,
A workaround could be this: sync your long clip with the first 5D clip, open that multiclip in the timeline, and then lay the other clips over the first clip in that sequence. Unfortunately you have to manually sync those clips but once they are, the entire sequence acts as a multicam. The 5D track will have gaps, but it should then all be synced.
The nice part about Premiere is you can modify multiclips after they are synced, add to them etc. it has worked for me with captured clips that had bad spots in them
