This is something that I’ve always found humorous. I just rendered a 5 minute timeline which took about 3 minutes. However, the ‘Estimated Time Left’ ticker stayed at 39 – 45 seconds for the entire render. This has always been the case for as long as I’ve used Premiere.

If the algorithms are that bad, why not just do away with the ticker altogether, instead of giving us false hope?

Yes…this has been an interesting thing for some time now…at the moments I’ve really tried to pay attention to it, it seems like it knows how much time it took to render the frame it’s working on…and how many frames it has to go and does a projection that way.

Whether or not you’ll be pleased depends on whether it’s currently rendering the hardest, or easiest frame in the export…
