  Merge Clips by Audio sync in Premiere Pro CC

  I love the new audiosync options in Premiere CC, but I’ve not had much luck merging a DSLR clip with some externally recorded audio. Even when the clips have been very close to begin with and a decent recording volume on both.
  The same clips sync up just fine if I make a multi-cam clip, but that’s not ideal.

  Has anyone else had any problems merging clips using the audio waveform to sync?

  I’ve been searching around this morning looking for a solution to the same issue. I have no idea why it chooses some clips to merge over others but just wanted to say I have the problem too and would love to know why.
