  Audio Problem in After Effects 7.1

  I have been trying to import audio clip into AE7.1 and suddenly can not see a waveform or hear the audio clip. I have tried an mp3, aiff and a .mov file with an audio clip all of which have worked previously. Another detail is that the finder cannot play them either but quicktime can. I’ve had 2 of our inhouse gurus looking into this as well. Any ideas?

  is there an update to AE 7.1??
