Ok, I have a huge project in After Effects that I screwed up the timing on the comps – they’re all exactly 23 frames too short. Now, I’m faced with the task of going through all these subcomps and adding 23 frames to each (something like 128 comps).

Now, I hit upon the brightish idea of “Wait! Maybe I could open a text editor and do a find and replace for 00:20:06 to 00:20:29. And looking at it – good idea, bad reality.

So, is there another way that I could go through and readjust the size of the comps, or should I set aside a day to lengthen the comps individually by hand?

Javascript would be able to do this at one go. You’re best bet is to put out a call for Dan Ebberts. If you’re feeling brave, you can look at the scripting PDF that would be installed in your AE folder for guidance.
