frustration with PP CC, CUDA, iMac with GTX 660M
Hi –
I am (or I thought I was) well versed in hacking the “cuda_supported_cards.txt” file to get the NVidia GeForce and Quadro cards to work with Adobe Premiere CC and Adobe Premiere CS6. I have done this successfully with everything from a GTX 680 to most recently a GTX 675MX in an iMac.SO – I am on this iMac running OS X 10.8.4 with an NVidia GeForce GTX 660M. I enter GeForce GTX 660M into the cuda supported cards text file, and I can’t get the GPU activated in Project Settings> General> Renderer – it will not select the Mercury Playback Engine GPU. I reload the NVidia CUDA driver V5.0.61 for OS X 10.8.4, reboot, and still, NO SUPPORT in Premiere CC for GPU.
Anyone have any ideas of why this is not working (yet this exact process works for other models of Nvidia cards ?).
Thanks –
