I may be missing something obvious here, but I’m wondering if there’s a quick fix to my problem. I’m cutting a feature and have been provided with transcoded and synced dailies. Problem is that every clip is out of sync. The sound is always 2-3 frames early. This is human error: someone not understanding the use of a good old fashioned clapperboard.

Obviously there are several ways to fix this in the timeline – easiest being to unlink each shot – slip the audio – and re-link. Of course Premiere now tells you that the shot is out of sync, and I regard this solution as clumsy and potentially confusing when the film is handed to the sound editor.

I am wondering if there is a simple way I can get each clip re-synced before I edit with it. Short of putting each clip into a sequence, re-syncing and creating a new source clip.

    Thankyou,
