Project sharing via FlavourSys Mint at NAB
I’ve been working in the Small Tree Communications booth the past two days at NAB and one of the workstations in there is dedicated to FlavorSys Mint project sharing software. I thought this tool only worked with Avid allowing multiple editors to edit with the exact same project open at the same time. Apparently they now include Adobe Premiere Pro.
If you want to see the very limited demo tool that’s on display, it’s Booth SL6005 and it’s on the iMac system. I’m hoping to get a demo of the product when I return to Atlanta so I can see how it compares to the Adobe Everywhere concept.

Hi Walter, glad I got the chance to meet you at NAB – and glad I ran into Flavoursys (completely by chance).
I looked into Strawberry in the past for both Avid and Premiere. The main hinderance was the initial $15K cost to implement – out of my budget for this feature set. Mint is very interesting, it seems that other potential users voiced the same concerns, wanting a lighter cheaper solution that focuses on the project/media sharing capability.
However I guess this is so new, there’s nothing on it online (including on their website)… I hope to find out more. I wonder if Premiere’s new feature to browse into other .prproj files will render Flavoursys less necessary.
