  colouring footage question

  hey all
  i’ve been looking at some clips by mk12 and psyop.
  the psyop clip for bouygues: http://www.psyop.tv/bouygues and the mk12 clip for the history of america trailer: go to mk12.com
  they both use cartoon like colouring to achieve some really nice effects. would this be done similar aharons tutorial for cartoon colour or more of a frame by frame affair…
  any pointers would be appreciated

  Some of it surely can be doen using Aharon’s “quick” technique, but most of it looks like it has been rotoscoped nad then overlayed with gradients. There’s also a lot of matched 3D elements. Not undoable, but a lot of work if you want to obtain similar high quality.
