Premier pro audio voice over problem
Dear Reader,
I’m trying to start a new web-show and all audio will be recorded on my zoom brand new zoom H4N. and for this web-show I want to record voice-overs straight in to premier pro via a usb cable. There’s just a slight problem. My zoom H4N records properly when I don’t plug it via usb in to the computer. But when I do plug it in, it records properly then repeats a word and then records properly again and then repeats a word again etc. This random echo effect. is not what I’m going for and using an sd card to transfer the audio files costs way to much time. Can someone tell me whats going wrong here?

I don´t have a solution but I also have problems with using the H4n as a voiceover microphone.
Premiere recognize the unit. in Preferences I choose H4 for sound In and internal speakers for Sound out. But when I klick OK it instantly switches the outsound back to H4. When I plug in my headphones to the H4n unit the outsound is very distorted and turning down the master in premiere doesn´t help so it´s not because it´s peaking.I tried the same thing in Logic pro 9 and there was no problem.
So there´s something in Premiere that is causing this. Please help. Anyone? -
I’m having exactly the same problem. I’m in a hurry (only got some days to finish the project) and have spent hours trying to find a proper solution, on the internet and just by trying some things myself, but nothing works. I thought it would be worth the effort, because who would think that there is no solution for an incompatibility between a highly popular microphone, the H4N, and a computer program made by a giant as Adobe? Very frustrating and time-waisting. I guess I’ll have to try some amateur technique, like recording it separately and than dragging it into Premiere Pro. Of course I still hope I’ll find a decent answer.

I was having the same problem and after messing around with it for a while figured it out!
When you are at the Audio I/F menu on the H4N before hitting connect make sure that Frequency is set to 48khz (Not 44.1khz)
