Audio with speed effect not exporting?
Ok I have what seems to be a very bizzare issue. I have made an edit comprising of short clips. I have then taken those clips including the audio, duplicated them and with the duplicate selected nest to combine them into their own nested sequence. I have done this in order to affect the speed/duration of these clips as a whole in order to play the 40 odd second edit in 4 seconds including the strange effect the audio provides, that’s exactly what I want.
Now this all works fine and the audio is there when I play the edit in the timeline however as soon as I export the edit the audio for this sped up section is not present.
I am editing in Premiere cs5.5, editing canon hdslr footage, at 23.976 fps 1280 x 720 H264 AAC audio 48000Hz.
It is not an issue with the nested sequence or the clips as I have run tests using both without the speed/duration effect and the audio is present in the export

Making speed changed on nested clips inside of more nests sounds like an unsupported workflow. Is it possible to take the audio into Audition, do your effect and import it back into Premiere Pro?

I’m going to try that however I don’t think that is the issue as I also tried importing the exported edit and then using that to reverse and speed up and still the audio was not in the final export. It seems so strange as it all plays fine in the timeline, it’s as if it isn’t rendering the audio with the speed effect when exporting

Kevin thanks so much for your common sense approach, this has been buggin me for ages and just took the audio into Audition, made the effect, well actually I could only speed it up to it’s value of 12% which left me a few seconds shy from my sped up clip which is when it gets even stranger, I then used the speed/duration effect in premiere on the audition audio, exported it and it worked! I’m so glad it did but still no Idea why, so very strange.
