  I have a 5 minute clip which has awesome quality from adobe Premiere. I captured the sequence settings on the camera. The size of it is 1.23 gigs. I dont want the file to be transcoded into encore and distort it. I only care about this 5 minutes. I have a mpeg 2 which i exported which is perfect quality.

  I know this breaks the normal practice of compressing quality etc. But I wish there was a way to straight up put the high quality.

  No matter what i do the 1.23 can be reduced to 350 megs and than it looks blah.

  Can anyone help me figure this out? Or point me in a good direction?

  Your post and it’s title are confusing.

  Import your clip from the hard drive into APP.
  Drop the clip onto the “make new sequence that matches” icon in the bottom of the project.
  Now, your footage matches your sequence.
  Edit.
  Set in and out points if you need to.
  Export to AME, Choose the DVD Preset, mpeg2DVD if going to DVD
  Choose .h264 codec if going to web, mp4, YouTube data rates of 5 MB/s.

  Compressing for deliver is always going to make a smaller file then raw footage, but it does not mean if has to look bad. You have to do it correctly. Tell us what delivery you are trying to make.
