Premiere compatible plugins?
I’m looking for some Premiere compatible plugins that’ll provide me with some nice all around effects to apply to my projects. I have Boris Red. Anyone have any other good recommendations?

I would suggest just about any of the Red Giant Software Suites and Collections. You don’t say what version of Premiere you have, or your platform, so here’s a link to check out compatibility with your system:

I own the Magic Bullet Suite, Trapcode Suite, and Effects Suite, and I use them constantly. There’s no fat or useless cheese in any of the suites.

Has anyone given this a spin yet? I’m curious how the FxFactory sets perform on Premiere, given that they both offload a good amount of processing to the graphics card. Different pipelines (FxFactory being OpenGL-driven, Premiere being CUDA- or OpenCL-driven), but still competing for resources on the GPU. Nonetheless, FxFactory has some really nice effects, and the architecture of the system is nothing short of brilliant.
Other good “general purpose” effects include GenArts Sapphire and Boris Continuum Complete. NewBlueFX has quite a selection, too.

Indeed. FxFactory Pro offers a very comprehensive Sapphire/BCC-style set of effects, and the third-party developers have done some amazing work, offering one-of-a-kind looks.
The fact that you could geek out and actually build your own effects with Apple’s Quartz Composer was really cool, too.
I ultimately stepped away from FxFactory on my Macs only because it didn’t play nicely with After Effects multiprocessing. That helped soften the blow for me adopting PCs.

The two big names are Red Giant and Boris, I use some from both.

Definitely check out newbluefx.com where you’ll find many packages that work on both the Mac and PC.

With all that said, also there are two awsome plugins i use a lot from Videocopilot: Twixtor (extreme slow motions) and Twitch (controling the caos).
I like Prodad Vitascene too, but i´m not sure there´s a version for CS6 (i´m still on CS5.5)Regards
