  • squeezed video when importing FCP XML into Premiere CS6

I’m having an issue importing an XML file into CS6.0.3 from FCP7. The timeline comes over intact with all of the media in place. However, some of the video (HDV footage shot on a Sony Z1U, captured in FCP) is showing up squeezed within the newly created Premiere project:

It’s worth noting that other types of footage and graphics import without this issue. It appears to only be the HDV footage.

I’m exporting This as an XML version 5 from FCP with these sequence settings:

Here are the sequence settings for the new Premiere sequence:

Here are the clip properties for the HDV footage:

The odd thing is that if I manually import the clips they no longer appear to be squeezed. So I can reconnect the media one by one to fix the issue but I have over 60, 2 minute timelines to reconnect!

Does anyone know how or if this can be remedied? Or if it can’t be fixed what causes this to happen?

Thanks so much in advance for any information or help you can give me!

Check Interprete footage of the clips in the Project Window.
I am guessing the PAR is not correctly set.

YES! Thank you immensely! I was hoping it was something simple.
