Organize by clip date/time in Icon View?
Posted by Michael Garber on October 18, 2012 at 6:27 pmWhen I go to icon view mode, the clips seem to be in a random order. Random to me, at least. I can organize the clips manually. But I’m having trouble finding a way to organize them all by date or by name. Again, this is in Icon View mode and not List View.
Thanks again!

October 18, 2012 at 6:43 pmSorry, that’s not available in Premiere Pro, though it’s a popular request. Kindly make a feature request and let our team know that you want this: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish

October 18, 2012 at 7:30 pmThanks Kevin,
I have been wondering about this too. I thought it was a setting I didn’t know how to adjust.
I went to the link you supplied and requested icon view to be in alpha/numeric order.
Best Regards!

October 18, 2012 at 9:26 pmhmmm….
how about something like this….
If you switch to Icon view…
a right click could offer a context menu of:
SORT BY:
USE LIST VIEW SORT
MANUAL STORYBOARD
ALPHA NUMERIC BY (LIST EXPOSED PANEL META COLUMN HEADINGS AS A ROLL OUT SUBMENU)
REVERSE ALPHA BY (LIST EXPOSED PANEL META COLUMN HEADINGS AS A ROLL OUT SUBMENU)All should be available to switch between at any time.
I’d be happy to suggest this as a feature request if anyone thinks its worth my time…

October 18, 2012 at 10:32 pmThat would be perfect. Right click was the first thing I tried actually.
