  Ridiculously slow response to even smallest motion adjustment

  Hopefully one of you guru’s can help with this frustrating issue.
  Every time I click on Motion to manually reposition a clip in the Program Window, it stalls.
  The whole app freezes, then updates after a 4-10 second delay.
  Even the History panel waits to update. It doesn’t matter what the playback & paused resolution is set to.
  It does the same working with H264 and AVCHD clips.

  Running the latest update of CS6. Mac OS 10.6.8.
  On Mac Quad Core Xeon 2.9 Ghz, 12 GB.
  I’ve got 9 of the 12GB total allocated to PP.
  I’ve tried both “optimize rendering for ‘Performance’ and “Memory'” with no difference.

  Could it be a cache issue?
  Any suggestions would be much appreciated, as this stop-start workflow is ridiculous.
