  Missing options in effect controls

  I have Adobe Premiere CS6, and I tried to add an adjustment layer with color corrections to my clips, but the only options that appear under effect controls when I clicked the Layer were Video Effects, Motion, Opacity, and Time Remapping. The color correcting options didn’t show up. Has anybody else had this problem? Is there anything I can do? Thank you.
