Multiple versions of media in Prelude…
So we’re exploring using Prelude to ingest, manage and log footage on a pretty massive project. The idea is that logging would continue moving forward in Prelude even after the edit has started.
I understand that the metadata is stored in the files themselves in order to make sure all the info is transferred to Premiere and other software.
But what happens if an editor is working off a copy of the clips or a transcoded version of the clip. Not the same physical clip that is being used to log? Is there a way to take all this new logging info open the Prelude project at another station and apply all this new metadata to copies of clips?
The reason I ask is because we’re all working off offline versions of the media. Often in other countries…
Thanks for any insight!
