6.0.1 now plays my projects slowly (voice is like it’s slowed down a touch) video appears to skip frames (even playhead skips) even though it’s fully rendered. Exact same project and media plays normally on my boot disk backup that was cloned a month ago so something in the last month has changed. Updated Cuda driver (using a Quadro 4000 mac) recently but can’t see how that would affect performance (although this card/drivers have been flaky since I’ve gotten it – video tearing etc. but never affected performance).

    Mac 10.7.4
    3.33 ghz 6 core
    32 gig ram
running off an SSD – my boot disk backup is off of a separate mechanical drive (SSD issue? – though utility has been run)
Blackmagic Decklink Extreme card (turned off in Premiere)

This happens whether I have Cuda hardware enabled or not in prefs.

    Anyone experiencing this?

For anyone who reads this I found my own solution maybe it will work for you…

Trashed preferences – reset the Audio Hardware in CS6 to System Default – everything is fine. It may have been the installation of my Bongiovi DPS audio enhancer that screwed things up.
