    Hello,

I’m looking for a tutorial on how to add SD footage to an HD timeline in the style news broadcasts do, where they put the SD footage center and either edge of the screen is frosted/blurred.

Haven’t been able to find anything. It’s a little difficult to describe but if anyone has any suggestions that’d be great. I find this is helpful for news broadcasts because they don’t have to try and upscale/downscale the footage, which is not what I want to do.

    Thanks for any help!

    Double up your video layer.

Track one – blow it up to fill the screen. Blur it.
Track Two (Above) – leave at normal size, add a drop shadow.

    Start there.
