  converting a DVD to avi

  I need to convert a DVD, video_ts file to an avi file for use in Premiere Pro. What is the best way to do this?

  If the DVD is not copy protected, and if there is only one VOB file for the video, it may be as simple as renaming the file’s extension to .mpg, which you’ll then be able to place on a Premiere timeline.
