  • Separating “Merged” Clips to revert to original name structure. PP 5.5

I created a large edit using merged clips biased on scene and shot number. Now I am moving to color correction and to access the original file names. Is it possible to Un-merge clips similar to the Link unlink option ?

I want to do this because I am editing with Raw R3D’s and need to make color changes in the Red Cine program.

    Thanks for any help.

Bump! I too am in a similar situation. Merging clips seemed like a great Idea but after finishing cutting and getting ready to send to DaVincie I notice that all the clips loose the reel names.

Is there any way to un-merge clips (either through Premiere or another method)?

Bump again. In the exact same situation… I have to send my project to a grader and don’t want them to inherit my severely messy structure of merged clips.
