  premere pro 5.5 issue

  I have an issue more a pain than a problem,,
  Playing the timeline.
  I can play the time line but it will stop after about 1/3 of a second, if i roll it again imediatly afterwards it plays fine.

  be great if someone knows a fix ?

  Win 7,Prem pro 5.5,,, mercalli v2 plug in
  Blackmagic Intensity shuttle
  Gigabyte X58 G1 Sniper bwd CPU i7 3.2gig with 12 gig ram
  2 striped 1 tb cavier blue’s as media drive

  Do you have any energy saving settings turned on that may turn off idle hard drives? You can get similar performance issues as the idle drive has to spin up once you hit play. This would be my first guess.

  Thanks for your response,
  I think i may have found my problem, but not its cure!
  If i remove my Blackmagic Intesity Shuttle ( USB3 conectivity ) all works perfectly, of course this is my hdmi monitoring so Humm !
  I will look into possible usb 3 piority issues on my computer,
  Once again any possible fix ideas would be most welcome

  I had some lag issues with Premiere and and a USB3 hard drive. I haven’t dug into the problem, but I was told to jump into the computer BIOS where you may find different modes for the USB3 connection.
