  • Coloured lines appear on fringe of cross dissolves in Premiere Pro CS5

Posted by Gareth Williams on July 8, 2012 at 9:29 pm

    Hi all,

In Premiere Pro CS5, when I apply a cross dissolve to a clip, coloured lines (green, blue, pink) appear on the right hand side of the frame briefly during the dissolve. Can’t seem to figure out why this is. Examply pic below. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Gareth,

I’ve seen this happen randomly with certain non-square sequences / footage combinations. I have not seen it happen in CS6.

The solution is to copy and paste your edit into a square pixel sequence.

I realize this is an old post, but I was hoping you could walk me through what you mean by “copy and paste your edit into a square pixel sequence.” Thanks.
