  Add Video Effect to Group of Clips or Track?

  Is there any way to group clips so that I can apply an effect and have one single control that affects all of them? I believe you can do this to an audio track, but I’m hoping to do it with video.

  I’m basically looking for a better way to be able to apply effects to interviews with two cameras. Right now I apply an effect to the first clip_camA and copy it to the rest of the camA clips. But if I need to make an adjustment obviously that gets annoying. I have the A and B cams on different tracks.

  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  Add adjustment layer in cs6.

  If in 5.5 use dynamic link to do the vfx work in AE for the group of clips. It’s archaic but it works.

  Or Nest the clips, and add the effect to the nest.

  Thanks for the feedback. Adjustment layers won’t work because that applies to everything under it, not to a single track, and I don’t want the same effect on every clip in the timeline.

  I’m not interesting in roundtripping to AE. PPRO works fine, just looking for some shortcutting within it.

  Nesting seems like it’s probably the best option. I’ll play around with that idea.

  your adjustment layer doesnt have to be over your whole track or every clip u can edit it to the length you need it to be over the clips you want to add the effect to

  2 ways:

  1- apply effects to one clip, then “copy” the clip, select all the clips where you want to paste the effects and “paste atributes”

  2- Nest the sequence into a new one and apply the effects to the nested seq.
