Editing DSLR footage in 24p instead of 23.976p, for recording on film
Hi,
I’m editing a short film about 20mins shot mostly on Canon 5D(23.976p) and very little on RED MX(24p) (Specifying the length to know if it matters) in Premiere Pro CS5.5 which the producer is keen on recording to film to know how it’ll hold up.I choose the 24p setting on the timeline instead of 23.976 which is what I usually use for the web.
What goes on in premiere when you put a 23.976p clip on a 24p timeline? Will it make any difference?
Audio is recorded separately and sync is fine.
I intend to do the final grading in resolve with and XML from Premiere. Will I have any problems there in conforming?
My resolve timeline will also be 24p.Nobody talks about the 23.976p & 24p difference so I’m assuming its not a big issue but a little reassurance would help.
Thanks
