  • Batch Capture timecode reverts to 0:00:00:00

I’ve captured digibeta clips with my Aja Kona card using the tape timecode and seemingly at random some clips retain their source timecode while others revert to 0:00:00:00 as inpoint. I really need to retain the original timecodes to confer with the producer.

Does anyone know why this happens? I’ve tried changing the Aja serial control options in the Premiere capture window, the Aja control panel settings for timecode (LTC, VITC, etc). Sometimes the clip is fine the first time I capture, other times have to keep trying several times before it works and other times not at all.

    Thanks!

not sure what you’ve got going on there but if you can ID a frame on tape and id the frame in the capture you can modify TC and set it to be the code you want.
