  Cross Dissolve Problem

  Hi,

  Can someone help me figure out when I put a cross dissolve at the beginning of my movie it starts at 100% black, then a quick jump to 80% black, then it cross dissolves into the clip. This only happens after I render. The transition preview is fine.

  I can’t figure out why this jump in black happens.

  I attached a visual example so you can see the difference in the blacks.

  Are you sure there are no errant opacity keyframes on the clip? Try fading a piece of black out on a higher layer and see if you get the same result.

  I’ve experienced this, but only when using a Blackmagic Intensity or Decklink card. If you delete all your preview files, then re-render you should be fine.
