  Dealing with multiple output formats and screen size

  Hi there.

  Im about to start editing a short film that ultimately will be need to be shown on 1080p screens, Vimeo, and 576 format projector. I guess my question is what sequence settings should I use in premiere pro CS5? Is there a best way to setup the footage and project knowing that I’m going to exporting to different size screens?

  Any advice or thoughts appreciated.

  I would edit in 1080p and convert as required for your additional deliverables. With 1080p as one of your target specs, there’s no reason to compromise on anything else.

  Watch your safe zones as you would with any edit and you should be alright!

  this brings up a good point…

  what’s the easiest way to set up “center cut” overlays in PPro?

  So to be clear, I assume that means setup my sequences at 1080p and then when I export I choose whatever scaled format I need correct? And becuase I have started with bigger/higher res and I am only down scaling there will be no loss in qualty etc.

  Please confirm.
