no video when importing hdv footage
hi all,
when i import my hdv footage in premiere pro cs5, only audio gets imported in the project, there is no video. further, there is no hdv preset in my premiere pro cs 5. what cud be the issue? i hav
i5,
windows 7
4 gb ram
1 tb hdthe footage imports in other computers, but not mine.
pls help

Where is this HDV footage coming from? Directly from camera? Already captured in another NLE?

hi shane,
the hdv footage was captured in premiere pro cs5 but in other computer. it got imported with video and audio in the computer that was used to capture. but when i import it into my pro cs5, only the audio comes, but no video.

Could be a graphics card driver issue!
If it imports on other systems as Video and Audio, but not your’s there is clearly a difference in your hardware or the Application has become corrupt.
Clearing your preferences, or reinstalling are the two option there.
1. Clear Prefs: = Hold down Shift + Alt + Ctl while launching PPro. Do not release they keys until PPro has finished launching as it asking you to make new or open a project.
2. Reinstall. Pretty self explanatory. But you should uninstall it completely before installing it again and not perform a reinstall over the top of the current install (AKA repair install).
2.b there is a cleaner tool by Adobe to help you clean out the system properly before reinstalling. Here is the link https://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
