  HELP!!! QUICK!!! AE Error: your serial number is invalid

  My laptop won’t login to my user account- it freezes. I was able to get it in Target Mode and drag AE into another computers Application folder.. I tried to open AE, but it says “AE Error: your seial number is invalid.” Then it quits.

  It doesn’t let me enter my serial number!!!!!

  What can I do? I don’t have the original disk with me.

  Why don’t you create a new user and log in to that user?

  Also, try booting the computer holding down Shift.

  If that doesn’t help you’ll need to reinstall AE.
