I hired a videographer for my daughter’s wedding that produced a movie with very poor audio editing. I would like to convert the VLC files into a format that I can eliminate the sounds of a small plane flying overhead, barking dog, and various noises created by video equipment.

I found an inexpensive conversion software with numerous format options. What top two or three formats are best suited for Premiere Pro and Soundbooth?

If anyone can recommend a conversion software, that would be appreciated also.

Odds are, with Premiere Pro you can simply drag that file produced by the videographer into your timeline.

VLC is not a format but a player.
Run a file through Media info and post a screendump.
