I created a project in Premiere Pro and sent it to Encore via dynamic link, created menus, burned it to disc, and delivered it. Customer wants one minor change in the audio of one sequence. I updated the change in premiere but it will not show up in encore? I tried “revert to Original” from the file menu but it’s greyed out. Can some one help me out please. Thank you!

Try deleting all the media cache in the PP preferences, deselect “use previews” in the PP export settings and then save the proyect with other name before linking to Encore. I´m not really sure it will work, but you can have a try.

Um.. I am a recent Adobe convert (from Sony) and I am not sure how to do all the things you suggested but for the most part it sounds like you are suggesting I create a whole new dynamically linked project.

Why is “revert to original” grayed out? Can’t I just “revert to original” and not have to create a whole new project?

If you have changes in pp timeline you´ll have to link it to Encore as a new proyect anyway due to this minor changes. So delete all your media cache (in PP Preferences menu/media), deselect “use previews” in the pp export settings (this is an important step because if you haven´t rendered new previews pp can be using older ones to send to Encore), save the proyect with different name, and delete all the temp files you find in EncoreDVD folder, to avoid him taking the older version linked. Just try and see the results, you have nothing to loose.

Thank you for your reply. I had a hard understanding what you were telling me to do please forgive me, I am but a retarded mule lost in the Adobe Desert. I am still learning these programs. I switched from Sony Vegas Pro to CS5.5 MS and there is a huge learning curve. Anyway, I wound up just creating a new project in encore and linking the updated version of the video.
