  AA to PP dynamic link in CS5.5 freezes up my computer

  I’m putting together a showreel piece which includes several AE comps but when i use the dynamic link to bring them into premiere every time i try to do something simple like reposition the clip in the timeline i get a not responding message and everything freezes for nearly 2 minutes and i certainly can’t play it in premier to see what it looks like, it’s making workflow impossible.

  But then i can’t play the sequence in AE either without rendering a ram preview first, is this normal?

  I have the master collection 5.5 but had the same problem with cs4 so i think i’m doing something wrong. Part of the problem may be that i’m using pre made sequences from videohive so may need to change settings about to match, which is something i know very little about.

  I have a dell PC running windows 7 with an i7, 8GB ram, and 1TB hard drive.

  The premiere sequence settings are the default HDV1080i25 (50i)

  General
  Editing mode: HDV 1080i
  Timebase: 25.00fps

  Video Settings
  Frame size: 1440h 1080v (1.3333)
  Frame rate: 25.00 frames/second
  Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD Anamorphic 1080 (1.333)
  Fields: Upper Field First

  Audio Settings
  Sample rate: 48000 samples/second

  The AE sequence settings are:
  Preset: HDV 1080 25
  1440 x 1080
  HDV1080/dvcpro 720 (1.33)
  25 FPS

  any suggestions greatly appreciated
