    Hi,

I have a 10-minute 720P sequence I created in Premiere Pro CS5 and After Effects, using mostly footage I shot with my Canon 7D. I previously exported it to mp4, which worked fine, but I have a screening for which I need to export to tape. I have an old Canon HV20 camcorder, so I’d thought to export to mini-DV using that. But when I just read up on the Adobe help site I saw that export to HDV is only supported in Windows. And I have a Mac.

What is the best choice for me? Should I try to export to DV? Will that mean exporting in SD and losing resolution and quality? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Yes.

Would this work: Export using Apple Intermediate Codec, but export it to an external hard drive or flash USB drive. Then go into an older Mac, old iMovie, I think, connect the external hard drive to it. Put the AIC file from the external hard drive on the timeline in the older Mac and then export to tape HDV to HV20 using the older version of iMovie that exports to tape.
